The annual meeting of the Counselor Work Professional Committee and the Student Work Professional Committee of the Hunan Provincial University Ideological and Political Education Research Association was recently held. Our university was once again named a “2025 Hunan Provincial Advanced Unit in Counselor Work Research and Practice.” Zhou Ningsha and Chen Yiting were honored as “2025 Hunan Provincial Advanced Individuals in Counselor Work Research and Practice,” while Pang Jieli was named a “2025 Hunan Provincial Advanced Individual in Student Work Research and Practice.” A case written by Zhao Lingling and Peng Xiaoling was selected as an “2025 Excellent Case in Student Work for at Universities in Hunan.”

Our university has consistently upheld its original mission of cultivating talent for the Party and the country, treating the development of its counselor team as a core measure for consolidating the foundations of ideological and political education and fulfilling the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education. The university has deepened its efforts to promote the professionalization and specialization of counselors, advanced a special program to “empower and enhance” counselors, and built strong counselor studios. It has also worked to establish a “Great Ideological and Political Education” framework and pushed forward the “135 Project” in depth, improving the quality and effectiveness of student ideological and political education and management services.

These multiple provincial honors reflect strong recognition by provincial authorities of our university’s work in counselor team development and ideological and political education. As the fourth important backbone team in university talent cultivation, our university will take this recognition as an opportunity to rely on its status as one of the first national pilot units for the “National University Ideological and Political Education Agent Platform” , continue to deepen the substantive development of its counselor team, and forge a high-quality, professional counselor workforce. The university will further explore a new integrated model of “AI + ideological and political education” to upgrade and empower student work, continue to strengthen its “Three-Color Education” ideological and political brand- red for revolutionary traditions, blue for craftsmanship, and green for environmental awareness-and strive to open a new chapter in the high-quality development of ideological and political education, dedicating itself to cultivating a new generation capable of shouldering the mission of national rejuvenation.
